Broken Mirror
When I think of a mirror, I think of something colorful and shiny; however, in my
picture, my image is a dull and colorless reflection, which contrasts and represents a broken, functionless mirror. When creating my piece, I used black and white charcoal pencils as well as cotton swabs and cotton balls to blend it out and make it look realistic. Lastly, I made a bright sweatshirt and a dark background to create a juxtaposition between them, but to also unify them.

The Vegetables
when choosing to draw either the sweet food or savory food I chose the savory foods because I enjoyed the pastel and muted color palette that the vegetables and fruits had. I used oil pastels for the entire piece.

Breathin’
When first watching the breathin video by Ariana Grande, I was mesmerized by the visuals created by the video director Hannah Lux Davis. These visuals inspired me to create this piece. On the top is Ariana Grande swinging with clouds and clouds for miles behind her. On the bottom is also Ariana but it’s upclose. This scene is special to me because she is trying to portray that her head is in the cloud which is very reminiscent of me. I used colored pencil for the entire piece.

The Beauty Of Nature

Nasa
For this sketchbook assignment, I wanted to create a scene from Ariana Grande’s tour when she is singing her song called NASA. On the left side is a Galaxy view with a tissue paper planet melted together to create swirls and texture. On the right side is Ariana singing with the moon on the top used with recycled newspaper.

Eiffel Tower
For my print, I wanted to show my love for traveling and Paris. Paris is such a beautiful city with impressive landmarks and extraordinary fashion. I wanted to capture the beauty of Paris, France in one picture so I drew the Eiffel Tower. Leading up to the tower are some roses in a one point perspective view. I used markers and pens on my piece and used rubbing alcohol to transfer the media on to the final paper and pressed it on.
